With Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" coming to theaters next year, it has been reported that the director's son Eli Snyder will play the role of the deceased Robin in the upcoming film.

American photographer Clay Enos tweeted a photo of Eli and Zack on July 23. The photo is in black and white and it shows Eli in black coat and tie standing next to his father Zack.

What led fans to speculate Eli as Robin is the photo caption, which says "#Repost @cruelfilms... Boy wonder?" The photo cannot be found in CruelFilms' Twitter account; however, the photo got more than 200 retweets and more than 200 favorites.

According to Comic Book, Eli has appeared in three of Zack's previous films, including 2006's action-war "300," 2009's mystery sci-fi film "Watchmen," and 2011's adventure-fantasy "Sucker Punch." Given these records, it is highly possible for Eli to appear in Zack's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," with the upcoming film being the former's fourth as an actor.

Eli is also the starting quarterback of the Marantha High Varsity Football team. Standing six feet high and weighing 174 pounds, he is also a young blood and athlete, which makes him a perfect fit to play Batman's sidekick, as per Heroic Hollywood.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Ben Affleck as Batman. The actor who will play Green Lantern has yet to be announced.

Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to premiere in theaters in United States on Mar. 25, 2016.
