Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release is one of the most anticipated releases this year after Surface Pro 3 swept the market.

It was previously reported that the tablet will be released on July 29 alongside the roll out of Windows 10. However, without any details so far, it is most likely that Microsoft delay the release of the tablet.

Now, new rumors are pointing to October and early 2016 as possible release dates of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

The following are the top five proofs why Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release may not this year.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3, Surface 3 Firmware Upgrade

Both Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 recently received firmware upgrades. These upgrades are for the smooth adoption of Windows 10 operating system. Some of the updates received by the tablets are graphics, audio and USB drivers.

Microsoft Surface 3 LTE Release

Microsoft recently released the LTE version of Surface 3 in partnership with AT&T. The tablet was available in WiFi version only since its release. US carrier AT&T added Surface 3 with built-in LTE support in its roster of offered devices for $599.99 or $499.99 with a two-year service agreement. The carrier also offers a special promo of giving away the tablet for $399.99 when purchased with any Lumia smartphone on AT&T's Next program.

New Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Intel i7 Variants

Earlier this month, the Redmond-based tech giant released a cheaper version of Microsoft powered by Intel i7 processor with 128GB storage with a price tag of $1,299, according to PC World. Adding a new storage variant on the existing line up dampens the chances of a new device is coming.

Microsoft Adds More Resellers Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Sales

In line with a myriad of discounts on various Surface tablets, Microsoft aims to sell more Surface Pro 3 laplets as the company adds more resellers to sell the device. CRN cited sources familiar to the matter claiming that Microsoft is reportedly widening the Surface tablet reseller base by inviting new channel partners that will exclusively resell the company's flagship tablet.

CEO Satya Nadella "One Microsoft" Approach

Lastly, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella explained his immediate plans for the company including the adoption of "One Microsoft" approach. This aims to connect Windows-based devices similar to Internet Of Things (IOT). The chief executive also wants the company to focus on profit areas, which includes software and Surface line.
