It seems like Mike Franks (Muse Watson) will make a comeback in the much awaited "NCIS" Season 13. The new season will start with the cliffhanger of Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) being shot by a boy.

Watson has confirmed the return of Franks, who is technically dead for years in the show, by sharing an image of his dressing room with the line "Home" at "NCIS," on his Twitter account, Catermatt reported.

Given the close relationship between Franks and Gibbs, rumor has it that Franks would appear in flashbacks, more likely of how he encouraged agent Gibbs to fight, which will help in agent's quicker recovery.

The upcoming season will not just feature Franks, but also Luke (Daniel Zolghadri), who shot Agent Gibbs at the end of last season. Agent Tony DiNozzo will more likely step up with a bigger role as he will have to lead the team while Gibbs recovers.

"We've got a lot of questions that need to be answered and then some impending danger that we need to deal with when we get back," Executive producer Gary Glasberg told The Hollywood Reporter.

The season 12 finale episode events will have long-term effects and the psychological effects on not just agent Gibbs, but the whole team. But still, the team will be there for each other like always, according to Vine Report.

However, the filming of the "NCIS" Season 13 has just started and it is not yet clear with Agent Gibbs will indeed survive for the next season. More information can be expected to be revealed soon.
