The “Mafia 3,” sequel to the “Mafia 2”, will have a worldwide premiere on Aug. 5, possibly at the Gamescon 2015 scheduled to be held next week, GameRant reported.

According to the information available on the game’s website, the “Mafia 3” is being developed by newly formed Hangar 13, with Haden Blackman as the team lead. Blackman was working with LucasArts in the 1990s and 2000s.

“Mafia III is the next installment in the popular series known for immersing players into a world of organized crime through rich narrative storytelling and a beautifully crafted game world featuring period-accurate cars, music, and fashion,” 2K said in a statement, GameSpot reported.

Following the announcement, the publisher also offered a special deal on the Steam Page of the successful 2012 “Mafia 2” game, which is available for the next 48 years, at just $6, rather than its regular price of $30. In case of the “Mafia 2” Digital Deluxe Edition that also includes Made Man DLC, is currently available for just $8.

As of now, there is no word about on which platforms the developer will launch the game.
