"Fantastic Four" stars Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell appeared on "The Rock 100.5 Morning Show" in Atlanta on July 31, Friday, when they were asked about the Marvel Comics characters Johnny Storm and Sue Storm played by Jordan and Mara in the Josh Trank film.

Interviewer Steven J. Rickman, also known as Southside Steve, asked Jordan and Mara, "From what I've seen, you're brother and sister. Am I missing something?"

Jordan and Mara said no, to which the interviewer responded, "But you're white and you're black. How does that happen?"

"They could be raised as brother and sister," Jordan explained. "There's a whole bunch of family dynamics that could be without the 'obvious adoption.'"

Also on July 31, Friday, Jordan, Mara and Bell were at Univision Studios in Miami, Fla., where they made an appearance on the American Spanish-language entertainment news show "El Gordo y La Flaca."

Based on the characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the screenplay of "Fantastic Four" was written by Trank with Simon Kinberg, producer of "Gambit," "X-Men: Apocalypse" and "Deadpool," and "The Lazarus Effect" writer Jeremy Slater.

Along with Jordan as Johnny Storm, Mara as Sue Storm and Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort's "Insurgent" co-star Miles Teller plays Reed Richards in "Fantastic Four."

Set to be released on Aug. 7, "Fantastic Four" also stars "Warcraft" actor Toby Kebbell as Victor Von Doom/Dr. Doom, "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" star Tim Blake Nelson as Dr. Allen and "Hands of Stone" star Reg. E. Cathey as Dr. Franklin Storm, among others.
