The fresh press renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus flagships have surfaced before Aug. 13 announcement date.


The new press photos are published through a tweet by Evan Blass. Rumors claim that the Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920) and Galaxy S6 Edge + (SM-G928) will both feature a 5.7 inches Super AMOLED screen, Exynos 7420 chip, 4 GB of RAM, internal storage of 32 GB, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, 16 MP rear camera and 5 MP frontal camera.

The Galaxy S6 Edge + will be featuring a dual-edge curved display and 3,000 mAh battery.  The Galaxy Note 5 will feature S-Pen stylus, but the details on the battery of the device is unavailable. Both the handsets lack a microSD slot.

Since the Galaxy S6 Edge has received good response from the audience and critics, Samsung is planning to release its larger edition, the Galaxy S6 Edge + across the globe. However, the Galaxy Note 5 will be released in select markets like the U.S and South Korea were the phablet has done good business, The Korea Herald reported.  

Even though the Galaxy S6 Edge has strong demand, its sales have surfaced mainly because the South Korean brand has struggled in manufacturing dual-edge curved display panels. However, the company seems to better prepared for the sales of Galaxy S6 Edge Plus handsets as it has nearly finalized its plans to release the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus with worldwide carrier partners. However, it is yet to take the same initiative for the Galaxy Note 5, the publication added.

The launch event for the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is called Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event that is nicknamed as "The Big Apple." It will be held at New York City on Aug. 13, Phone Arena reported. The release date of both the flagships is predicted as Aug. 21. Rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini will be also announced on Aug. 13.
