The much awaited “Once Upon A Time” Season 5 will not be just about the Dark Swan, but also about another major character change in one of the lead cast members.

It seems the Evil Queen Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla) will be the new savior of Storybrooke, and that she will possibly have a huge impact in bringing Emma back from the darkness, as she will be exploring what it means to being the savior and how to help people.

“We will see a role reversal of some sort, and I think that everyone is going to look to Regina for guidance and help. If anyone has the experience of crossing into the darkness and then coming out, it’s Regina,” Parrilla told Buddy TV.

In an effort to save Emma, the other fairytale characters including Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) will go to any extent.

The upcoming season will not just test the love Hook has for Emma, but also the relationship between Snow and Charming, as the Charmings will have a totally different approach to deal with Dark Emma. They have been trying to keep anything like Emma going dark since a very long time.

“They did something really heinous to try to prevent her from going dark, but now she has gone dark anyway, and that is going to be the focus. Snow and Charming are going to some crazy lengths to try to get her to being back to the savior that she is,” Dallas told PopSugar.

Season 5 will see the characters go from the Enchanted Forest to Camelot in search for Merlin (Elliot Knight), who is more likely the only hope for Emma. Fans will get to see the world of Camelot that will exist in a parallel timeline, with King Arthur (Liam Garrigan), Queen Guinevere (Joana Metrass), Percival (Andrew Jenkins) and the return of Lancelot (Sinqua Walls).
