In the Episode 10 "And the Woman Clothed in Sun," common source of guidance brings Will Graham and Francis Dolarhyde come one step closer to each other. Graham discovers carvings that Dolarhyde leaves behind after committing every crime. These impressions help FBI in developing better understanding of the psychopath's psyche. Graham continues to seek Lecter's guidance as he aims to resolve the "Tooth Fairy" case.
On the upcoming episode of "Hannibal" Season 3, Dolarhyde approaches Lecter for counseling regarding his "becoming." He establishes a connection and connects directly to Lecter, who is locked up in Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. The killer believes that Hannibal could help him develop better understanding of himself and his experiences.
Meanwhile, another consulting session with Hannibal leaves Graham unsettled. He realizes that his bond with Lecter has only deepened and strengthened over the period of time and it could result in grave complexities. Graham, then, seeks Bedelia du Maurier, Lecter's former psychiatrist's, guidance as she is the only person who he believes will understand his plight.
