As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Thea will reciprocate the feelings of Alex. It is still unclear which actor has been tapped to play the role. There are speculations that Alex will be a recurring character, especially since he would impact Thea's life greatly this season.

Meanwhile, a new black and gay superhero has been tapped to join the cast of "Arrow" season 4. According to Mic, Echo Kellum has been invited to join the cast as Curtis Holt.

During an interview with the publication, executive producer Marc Guggenheim explained why they decided to include a gay character in the series.

According to him, it was their decision to make the CW's version of Mr. Terrific gay because a lot of the fans have been asking when they will include an LGBT character. Other than Curtis, "Arrow" has another LGBT character in Sara Lance or Canary.

"Arrow" co-creator Greg Berlanti added that they want "Arrow" to become more inclusive towards the LGBT community. According to him, audiences of the program do not see LGBT characters as something negative. Rather, they have been very accepting of it.

"Arrow" season 4 will premiere on the CW this October.
