Blizzard Teases New World Of Warcraft Expansion

Blizzard announced the most recent installment of hit game series "World of Warcraft: Legions" in this year's GamesCom 2015.

The game developer presented gamers and game enthusiasts with a teaser during the event held in Germany. This marks the sixth standalone expansion of the famous Massively Multiplayer online role playing game originally marketed in 2004.

This expansion boasts many new features like crafting and personalized pieces and weaponry that gain more power as you progress in the game, upgrades that allow users to rapidly increase their power level, better integration of socialization between users, refurbished Player vs. Player mechanics and more according to the games official site.

Some of the highlights of the newest release are the new playable landscapes that contain new views of game world, aptly named The Broken Isles, which was briefly mentioned in the spinoff release by the name Warcraft III,

Also available will be Demon Hunters, a new playable faction that features double jumping and heightened sense, power limits for all characters are set even higher to 110 and two raids have been announced; Suramar's Palace Emerald Nightmare.

Although the e-sport is mostly played as an MMORPG the game's campaign story revolves around the player's hero Maeiv Shadowsong and other companions pitting against the zombified Illidan Stormrage, the main antagonist of the first installment, and his titular army, Legion, for the salvation or destruction of the land of Azeroth.

Since sales for the game have flopped during the past years, being overshadowed by other MMO's including League of Legends and steam's newest Defense of the Ancients sequel, Blizzard hopes that this title will entice gamers back to the dying franchise.

The developers have yet to set a concrete date on their flagship expansion, but a free beta version is already on the market and is open for gamers and developers alike for the game to become complete gaming experience reported PCMag.
