Tech giant Apple is anticipated to continuously improve its feasibility in the tech industry through the introduction of a new iMac desktop that will features a 21.5-inch screen with a 4K Retina display.

According to Macrumors, while the company unveiled several 27-inch Retina iMac models since October 2014, the rest of the iMac platform has not undergone a refresh since September 2013. With Broadwell processors beginning to emerge and Skylake just about to be released, it seems the company will eventually unveil a notable upgrade for the entire iMac franchise.

"We believe Apple will introduce new iMac models in 3Q15, which are supposed to have major selling advantages like an upgraded processor and improved display quality," Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities Analyst, said. "It is likely that the platform will use an LED phosphor material referred to as KSF to considerably enhance color concentration."

Reports from Tech Crunch reveal that together with the latest Operating System X EI Capitan beta, the upcoming Apple iMac 2015 will sport a 21.5-inch screen that runs on 4K Retina display of 4096 × 2304 resolution. The retina display offers a chance for users to enjoy a 4K video in its original resolution, without having to edit it.

Comparing the upcoming iMac 2015 and its precursor shows that this could be a smaller screen revolution since the iMac desktop in the market has a 27-inch with 5K Retina Display that is larger and expensive.

The current 27-inch iMac goes at $1,999 excluding other expenses needed for an SSD or Fusion drive. However, the anticipated new iMac 21.5-inc with a higher resolution will sell cheaper starting at $1,099.

The upcoming iMac appears to fill in loopholes in the company's Mac lineup since a customer had to decide between buying a 27-inch iMac with a 5K Retina display and a 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display.
