The "Elder Scrolls 6" release is expected to happen by late 2017 or early 2018 and may see the return of dragons resurrected from the Dragon Burial Mounds by Alduin, the World Eater, in "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim."

The sixth installment in the "Elder Scrolls" series is yet to be officially confirmed by the game developer. Pete Hines, Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda Softworks, has previously hinted at the game being under development in his interview with the Telegraph, though he stopped short of confirming the reports related to "Elder Scrolls 6."

The highly anticipated game in the series was initially expected to be announced this year at the E3, but Bethesda is said to have pushed "The Elder Scrolls 6" release to 2017, as the developer is looking to make it noteworthy.

Rumor has it that Alduin himself will be back in the upcoming title, pointing to the Arngeir and Paarthurnax's theories of his return to fulfill his destiny as World Eater.

However, there is no official word from Bethesda about the game and it is speculated that the developer will take at least a year to reveal any information about "The Elder Scrolls 6," given that "Fallout 4" will be releasing only by this year end.

Also, Bethesda has just unveiled the first DLC titled "Imperial City" for the recently released "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited," to be available for download from Aug 31, Monday, according to IGN.

The DLC will bring new combat in cramped areas, said to be the hybrid of PVE and PvP play areas, instead of the regular wide fields, giving players a lot of opportunities to attack.
