Emmy-winning talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has expressed her worry about the length of waiting for Andre Stanton and Angus MacLane's upcoming animated film "Finding Dory."
In her interview with Access Hollywood, DeGeneres said that she was really concerned about Disney waited so long that her voice was going to sound like Lauren Bacall, which might prevent her from sounding the same fish. However, the talk show host added that her statement was not to criticize Bacall.
Along with a clip from the highly anticipated animated film sequel, DeGeneres and some cast members gave fans a preview of the film's plot at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. "Finding Dory" follows the good-hearted and optimistic Dory as she reunites with her friends Nemo and Marlin after looking for answers about her past.
DeGeneres will be the one to voice the blue regal tang, along with Albert Brooks as Marlin, Diane Keaton as jenny, Eugene Levy as Charlie, and Ty Burrell as Bailey, among others. While she was anxious about a long wait for the film, DeGeneres told Movie Web that her film "Finding Dory" would be definitely loved by both "Finding Nemo" fans and movie goers.
"Toy Story" director Stanton and "Monsters, Inc.'s" MacLane are set to helm the upcoming animated film while "Ratatouille" producer Lindsey Collins will co-produce. "New Best Friend" writer Victoria Strouse co-writes the film screenplay with Stanton.
Stanton and MacLane's "Finding Dory" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on June 17, 2016.
