The Apple iPad Pro is rumoured to release in October. It will come out to take on the much hyped Surface Pro 4 that is also slated release in the same month.

Fresh rumors suggest that the displays for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be supplied by Sharp. The subsidiary group of Foxconn, General Interface Solution (GIS) has been assigned to build touch modules and Liquid Crystal Module assembly, DigiTimes reported citing industry sources.

The production of iPad Pro is expected to begin by the end of this month and the mass production of the device will begin in September. The sales of the iPad Pro are likely to begin at the end of October or at the start of November.

Microsoft is pegged to announce the Surface Pro 4 in October this year, The Verge reported. It is one of the most awaited tech products of this year. The arrival of the iPad Pro is expected to clash with Surface Pro 4 release date.

The Surface Pro 4 is expected to feature Skylake chip and sport the same form factor as the Surface Pro 3. Nothing constructive is known on the specification of the Apple iPad Pro. However, it is speculated to feature Force Touch technology enabled stylus.

Since the iPad Pro will be design to pit against the Surface Pro 4, it is not clear whether it will be arrive with iOS 9 or the OS X. Rumors suggest it may feature Apple A9X processor and 2 GB of RAM. It will support a keyboard accessory to deliver laptop like experience.
