It seemed that MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 release is coming after all as previous MacBooks received generous deals and discounts of up to $400 from various retailers.

Different retailers teamed up with Apple Insider and offer a myriad of discounts on various MacBook models. Apple authorized reseller Adorama offers the Apple's 13" MacBook Air (1.7GHz, 8GB, 512GB) with a 2TB WD My Passport USB 3.0 drive for $1,448 down from its original price of $1,848. This saves users $400.

The same retailer offers the 15-inch MacBook Pro (2.5GHz, 16GB, 512GB, 750M) model MGXC2LL/A for $1,979.00 from its original price of $2,279.

Even the 12-inch MacBook that was released earlier this year received $100 price cut from B&H.

Amidst reports that MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 release was pushed back in 2016 to give way to iPad Pro, these new discounts hinted otherwise. MacBook deals and discount could mean that Apple and retailers are exhausting the remaining stocks of MacBook devices.

On the other hand, some of the purported features of the MacBook Air 2016 are 13-inch and 15-inch screen displays, Intel Skylake-U chipset, OS X El Capitan, Type-C USB port, and an improved battery life. The laptops will most likely be equipped with Force Touch technology. The MacBook Air will be even thinner than last time.

Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro 2016 is also expected to pack almost the same specs and features, but with more powerful RAM.

It is still unknown whether MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 will be released later this year or early next year.
