The highly anticipated “Elder Scrolls 6” release will more likely not happen anytime in the near future, as the developer Bethesda is currently focusing on “Fallout 4.”
With “Fallout 4” slated for a release on Nov. 10, the entire studio is 100 percent focused on the upcoming game, and even after the release, there will be mod support, DLCs and patch updates to work on. The developer has also announced other major titles like “DOOM” and “Dishonored 2” to be released by late this year and early 2016, which makes Bethesda’s plate full for now.
It seems like “The Elder Scrolls Online” will be the only “Elder Scrolls” title that the developer will be talking about for at least the next 2 years, as Bethesda’s vice president of marketing, Pete Hines believes it will be a “very long time” before the team even discusses what is next to “Fallout 4,” according to Dual Shockers.
Earlier this month, reports surfaced that the “Elder Scrolls 6” release was pushed back to have the limelight on the “Fallout 4.” Previous reports pointed to the release dates of the other “The Elder Scrolls” games and suggested the all-new installment will be revealed in the E3 next year. However, Hines has squashed all the rumors of 2016 or 2017 release.
Althoug Hines has previously hinted in an interview with the Telegraph at the next installment in the franchise being under development, there is no official word from Bethesda on anything related to “The Elder Scrolls 6” release.
As of now, rumor has it that 2018 could be the earliest for “Elder Scrolls 6” release. However, it is better to take the report with a pinch of salt.
