It seems like the game developer CD Projekt Red will have some good news for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” players, especially for those who love Gwent, the card game.

Senior writer Jakub Szamalek, in his response to a fan question, revealed that the developer has some good news for Gwent players, expected to be announced soon, IGN reported.

As for the fans’ request of stand-alone version of Gwent, Szamalek just said that he would pass it on to the development team. While there is no other information about the said “Gwent news” the developer also teased some interesting things about the upcoming expansions.

CD Projekt RED’s Travis Currit confirmed that the first expansion “Heart of Stone” is almost ready, and that it is coming out well for the October launch, Dual Shockers reported.

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” “Hearts of Stone” expansion will be 10-hour-plus gameplay, in which Geralt will have to complete a contract with Man of Glass, in the wilds of No Man’s Land and the alleys of Oxenfurt. The expansion will have new adventures, with new as well as dearly missed characters. The developer has previously hinted at the return of Shani from “The Witcher” game. However, there has been no official announcement about her return.

Earlier last week, CD Projekt Red released the artwork for both the expansions - “Hearts of Stone” image showing Geralt with a sword, while his hands are tied, and the “Blood and Wine” artwork giving the first look at the all-new region of Toussaint. The “Blood and Wine” expansion will more likely be released by early 2016.
