iPad Air 3 release may happen real soon as iPad 3 with Retina display and iPad Air 2 discounts appeared online.
Game Stop offers the two iPads at a discounted price. The retailer offers the 16GB iPad 3 with Retina display, 4G LTE for $159.99. However, the tablet is refurbished or pre-owned. The 64GB iPad Air 2 is offered in eBay for $429.99.
According to Taiwanese media source Economic Daily News citing Fubon Bank analyst Liaoxian Yi, Apple decided to delay the iPad Air 3 release in 2016 to give way to the rumored iPad Pro, which is the Apple's entry in the laplet market. The company thinks that the iPad Air 3 may cannibalize the iPad Pro sales. Moreover, there could be problems in terms of supply if suppliers are working on three tablets.
Recent rumors claimed that iPad Air 3 release will take place later this year. The launch will most likely happen in October.
iPad Air 3 rumored features include: 9.7 inch Retina display with 4:3 aspect ratio, A9 processor, iOS 9, 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB variants, and 8 MP iSight camera at the back and 2.1 MP front-facing camera.
Meanwhile, iPad Pro is rumored to pack a 12.9 to 14 inches screen panel with 2,732 x 2,048 pixel resolution and the familiar 4:3 aspect ratio and 264 pixel density. Other rumored features of iPad Pro are A9 processor, Type-C USB port, a special stylus, NFC, and Force Touch technology.
iPad Pro is also expected to simultaneously run with iOS and OS X El Capitan, according to Cult of Mac. This hinted that the tablet will be a hybrid device and will cater features of both a tablet and a notebook or laptop.
However, there is no official word Apple yet. Thus, iPad fans will have to sit back and wait until the tech giant reveals the details about the device.
