Cassel is known for his roles in Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson's animated film "Shrek," Gaspar Noe's crime drama film "Irreversible," and Darren Aronofsky's thriller film "Black Swan." Aside from Greengrass' "Bourne" sequel, the actor will also be seen in Selton Mello's drama film "A Movie Life," Carlos Diegues' drama "The Great Mystical Circus," and Xavier Dolan's "It's Only the End of the World."

Aside from Cassel, the "Bourne" film sequel stars Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles, Viggo Moprtensen, and Tommy Lee Jones, among others.

With Greengrass set to helm the film, Damon, Robert Ludlum, and Christopher Rouse are on board to co-write the screenplay. Gregory Goodman, Michael J. Malone, and Frank Marshall will co-produce the film while Rouse and Henry Morrison will be the film's executive producers. Production is assumed to commence in the later part of summer.
