"Fashion Police," made its return to E! on Aug. 31 and paid tribute the late Joan Rivers with a new segment entitled "What Would Joan Say."

In the premiere episode, the panel critiqued the fashion from the MTV Video Music Awards and included Melissa Rivers, Giuliana Rancic, and Brad Goreski.

According to ABC News, the new "Fashion Police" segment's objective is to envisage what Joan would have said about a particular star's red carpet ensemble.

Melissa lost her mother on Sept. 4, 2014, at the age of 81. Prior to her death, the late comedienne hosted the E! show for five years.

NeNe Leakes and Margaret Cho joined the panel for the latest episode and reviewed the fashion failures and triumphs at 2015 MTV VMAs.

The E! show was taken off the air back in March after controversy following Giuliana Rancic's detestable remarks about Zendaya in reference to her hair smelling of patchouli oil and weed at the 87th Academy Awards.

According to Jezebel  the uproar that followed eventually resulted in Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne's exit from the show.

However, Osbourne displayed support for Melissa and for the success of the show via Twitter, after the first episode aired on Monday. "Congratulations on an awesome show tonight," tweeted Osbourne.

Rivers, wrote back with the subtle hashtag #friends. "@KellyOsbourne I love you!!! The flowers are amazing and you owned the lavender carpet! Xxx #friends #mysister," wrote Melissa on Twitter.

"Tweet us with the hashtag #WWJS and we might just use your joke next week," Melissa said at the end of the "What Would Joan Say segment," adding, "And you know what, this is so exciting, even celebrities are getting in on it."
