The exact date for the release of this operating system upgrade is not yet revealed. However, it is expected that Google will release Android M in October along with the release of Google Nexus 5 2015. Hence, this upgrade is expected to reach the other high end phones within the next few months.

The developer's preview for Android M was released in May for beta testers, which is still available for download. Users can test it and report back their experience to Google. It will, however, reset the master settings of the device.

Android M will be known as Android "Marshmallow," according to The Verge.  The new name was kept under wraps for a long time, being revealed only last week. This upgrade is expected to be a very major upgrade and bring about many important changes to the devices.

For starters, it will provide a much simpler approach for permissions, and at the same time giving more power to the users to secure their apps. It will also incorporate Google's New Pay Wallet and USB Type-C port support.

In other news, HTC is also expected to launch the HTC Aero soon. The upcoming HTC Aero will be a pretty high end device and it is expected to have specs like a full metal body, a 5.5-inch display screen, a 2.5 D curved glass display, a Gorilla Glass 4 panel protection, and a Quad HD display.
