It seems like the much awaited “Castle” season 8, all set to premiere on Sept. 21, Monday, has a lot of changes in store for its fans, as the new promo teases that everything is about to change.
Fans already know that Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) is now the Captain of the NYPD precinct and that Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) will be getting a new partner. But, the unexpected twist revealed in the promo is that Alexis Castle (Molly C. Quinn) is his new partner, TV Line reported.
While the father-daughter duo should gives fans their favorite classic banter, Rick will more likely have to step up his game, as Alexis seems to upstaging him. The new promo also gives the first glimpse of the new cast member Hayley Shipton (Toks Olagundoye) a security specialist from Scotland Yard.
The upcoming “Castle” season 8, will have a lot interesting surprises with more twists that will change about everything. Fans will get to see Kate telling Rick that she loves him.
However, the end of the 31-second long promo, shows Rick tied up in a chair as a tarantula crawled on his face, while being threatened to be killed, if he didn’t reveal where Kate was.
The all new “Castle” season 8 will more likely reveal what really happened to Rick, when he went missing, at the start of last season.
“This year, we really do want to get into what happened when he was gone in a way that hopefully ties a lot of the threads of mysteries of seven seasons together in an unexpected and exciting way,” executive producer Alexi Hawley told Entertainment Weekly.
