It looks like new details and rumors for Sony and Marvel Studios take on the 2017 "Spider-Man" have been revealed regarding new armored costume, gear and possible villains.

Spider-Man (Tom Holland) appears to be donning some new equipment in his debut appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as several rumors speculated that Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) himself will be responsible for giving Peter his new gear.

Several comic book fans theorized that Tony Stark may give Peter Parker his own Spidey costume as "Captain America: Civil War" directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo began teasing fans with bits and pieces of the possible Spider-Man costume in the film and the 2017 reboot. Peter's costume from Tony is described as a version of his classic Red and Blue outfit with a little "Stark magic" similar to the Iron Spider armor in the comics, The Movie Network reported.

However, another speculation claimed that Tony will not give Peter a version of his Spider-Man, but instead his very first web shooters. Spider-Man's web shooters are a standard gear when fighting crime as it is use to put web catridges that enables him to release his webs when traveling via web swinging and taking on criminals and super villains.

The web shooters were first introduced in director Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man" films, as director Sam Raimi has neglected to put them in his "Spider-Man" movie trilogy, replacing them with organic webbing much to the horror and disappointment of the fans, ScreenCrush reported.

Aside from the new costume and gear, the new "Spider-Man" 2017 film is rumored to have three main villains. Two out of the three villains are already mentioned in the form of Vulture and Scorpion, when a supposed cast list for the film was leaked on the internet.

Vulture will be played by Billy Zane (Twin Peaks), while Jason Biggs (American Pie) will take on Scorpion; However, the film's script writers John Francis Daily and Jonathan Goldstein have dismissed these rumors.

This leads to the third villain, Kraven the Hunter, who is heavily hinted by both Marvel Studios and fans alike as Sony vice president of creative affairs Karen Moy purchased several comic book issues of "Kraven's Last Hunt" in Amazon a few months ago. It was not a surprise since former Sony president Amy Pascall always looked for references in the comic books when making "Spider-Man" films.

Spider-Man will first make his on-screen debut in the MCU in "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6, 2016 and his new solo film on July 28, 2017.
