The Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, 27, was happy to meet Filipino actor Daniel Padilla, 20, in person on Sept. 5, Saturday. Curry is the 2015 NBA Most Valuable Player while Padilla was the Global Slime Star at the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Curry said he thinks that may have been the first time that Padilla was speechless. The NBA star added that he appreciates the Filipino actor's support and he is proud that he is one of his 4.5 million followers on Twitter.

Aside from being the Global Slime Star, Padilla was nominated for the Favorite Asian Act category of the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards along with Tosh Zhang and Jinnyboy. They lost to JKT48.  

Padilla caught Curry's attention when he posted a picture of himself and his collection of Under Armour gear. Curry is currently in the Philippines for the Under Armour Roadshow.

While he has the 2015 NBA MVP title, Curry ranked number four in the Sports Illustrated list of top 100 NBA players of 2016. The list was topped by the Cleveland Cavaliers small forward LeBron James, who recently appeared in "Trainwreck."

Kevin Durant ranked number two and Anthony Davis ranked number three in the list while Kourtney Kardashian's rumored boyfriend James Harden is at number five and Chris Paul ranked number six.

At number seven is Russell Westbrook followed by Blake Griffin at number eight, Marc Gasol at number nine and Kawhi Leonard at number 10.
