"If I see another 'Spider-Man,' I'm going to have to actually hang myself. I can't do it anymore!" she said.

Meanwhile, Thompson clarified that she does not have anything to do with the film or the franchise. It is just that, "Spider-Man" has already been released several times, and in different versions.

"They're all marvelous. But how many times can you make this franchise, for crying out loud? After a while, you do get a bit cynical about superhero movies. The fact that I know they're going to win out in the end has now slightly interfered with my continuing to go to those movies," she said.

The upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot will feature Holland as the new Peter Parker. Just recently, "The Amazing Spider-Man" actor Andrew Garfield opened up about Holland's casting.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Garfield said that he is happy with Holland's new role.

"It feels lovely, especially because Tom Holland is a really, really great actor. He was in this movie 'The Impossible' and he was just this incredibly powerful, sensitive, just wonderful young actor. And he is a dancer, so his body is the right form," he said.

"Spider-Man" reboot is slated to hit theaters in the United States sometime in 2017.
