There's another reason to forget about Google Nexus 2015 and a compelling one - the Motorola Moto X Force, which as the latest reports indicate is the rugged version of the Moto X 2015. Target release date of the Nexus-busting device is around December 2015.

Picking up on the latest gadget scoop by @UpLeaks, Phone Arena reported that another variant of the new Moto X is coming very soon, joining the Moto X Pure Edition or Moto X Style for users outside of the United States and the Moto X Play. The X Force was earlier codenamed as the Motorola Bounce, the same report added.

And the specifications are indeed of flagship-class, potentially overwhelming what the Nexus 2015 has to offer with the LG Nexus 5 2015 or Nexus 5X. The screen profile is 5.4-inch with Quad HD technology that fires up its 2560 x 1440 display resolution.

The main engine is made by Qualcomm, specifically the Snapdragon 810 chipset that Motorola paired with 3GB of RAM - highlighting the rugged handset's monster capabilities. The energy juice will be supplied by a massive 3760mAh battery that assures the X Force will run for the better part of the day even on extensive use.

Phone Arena said that the X Force is likely to unbox in two models but both will be offered by Motorola in two storage configurations - 32GB and 64GB.

Yet the main Moto X Force attraction, which distinguishes it from the regular Moto X 2015, is two superlative features that hardcore Android will surely embrace. Designed for active users, the X Force will boast of shatterproof protection that should allow the device emerged unscathed from accidental or intentional drops.

The device is also expected to have protection from elements and liquid intrusions, likely withstanding longer submersion time on deeper waters - staying true to its name as the Moto X Force.

The second banner feature is the camera system - a 21MP rear and 5MP front combo that the regular Moto X 2015 rocks. No doubt, the same shooting module is in line with Motorola's promise of delivering one of the best camera smartphones this 2015.

And like its regular sibling, the Moto X Force will run on vanilla Android that is yet another reason for pure Android fans to give the device some serious consideration. No word yet from Motorola if the X Force will unbox with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

As mentioned, the likely release date is December 2013 and the Motorola Moto X Force will retail starting at $628.
