Ellen DeGeneres has openly admitted that she actually considers her "American Idol" season 10 experience as one of the worst decisions she has ever made.

Following DeGeneres appearance on one episode of "Howard Stern Show," the talk show host said that she could not accept the fact that she can be someone who can break the dreams of a lot of people.

Degeneres said, "I am like everyone else watching at home, and I thought I am going to represent these people who have opinions. But as Howard said, I could not break a person's heart. Let others do that."

Degeneres also revealed to Stern the mixed-emotions that she feels from the recent, season-opening discussion with Caitlyn Jenner. Caitlyn talked about the publicly conveyed reservations about the issue of same-sex union while being a transgender individual, Time magazine reported.

"Wanting people to accept and understand is confusing to some people. And there is still judgment on gay people and their marriage,'" Ellen told Stern.

Jenner, aged 65, also added how she had a change in her thinking, "I really changed my thinking here too, 'I would never want standing in front of anyone's happiness.'"

DeGeneres, as for the "Idol" stint, is not the only one from among the line of former judges who vow not to agree anymore to an encore performance.

Mariah Carey was previosuly asked by an australian radio show if she plans to return to the show, Carey replied, "No! Definitely not. That was my worst experience ever."

Carey, reportedly earned $18 million for the season as a judge alongside  Keith Urban, Randy Jackson, and Nicki Minaj, The Wrap reported.
