Two possible great antagonists have been unveiled in Patty Jenkins' upcoming DC Comics film "Wonder Woman."

According to Heroic Hollywood, Circe and Ares are two strong villains for Princess Diana of Themyscira in Jenkin's forthcoming film. "Casino Royale" actress Eva Green and "The Lord of the Rings" actor Sean Bean have been rumored to play the roles, respectively; however, the actors have not signed on for the film and there were no reports on whether they were in talks for the roles.

Based on the Greek mythological character of the same name, Circe has a powerful command on sorcery. Along with her stunning physical beauty that can attract men, enjoyment in dishonor, and immortality, she is capable of turning human beings into animals or even herself into somebody with greater strength than Wonder Woman.

Green role as Artemisa in Noam Murro's action drama film "300: Rise of an Empire" makes her suitable to play Circe in Jenkin's "Wonder Woman." If Circa matches Wonder Woman's strengths and abilities in the film, then it is assumed that fans will see a phenomenal showdown between the two female characters, as per Cinema Blend.

Meanwhile, Ares, the god of War, is another great choice as Wonder Woman's adversary. Depicted as a Greco-Roman warrior in an orange suit during the Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze Age, Ares' vision is an eternal war and conflict in the world of humanity. Aphrodite, the goddess of love, made a move to oppose Ares' plans by breathing life into a new race of women who are stronger than men, the Amazons.

Sean Bean is a suitable choice as Ares, since he has played a god's role in "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," along with his roles in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" film series, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski's "Jupiter Ascending," and Tarsem Singh's "Mirror Mirror."

Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman while Chris Pine is will play Wonder Woman's love interest, Steve Trevor. Richard Suckle, Charles Roven, Stephen Jones, Geoff Johns, and Deborah Snyder, are set to produce the film while Jason Fuchs is on board to pen the film screenplay.

Jenkin's "Wonder Woman" is slated to premiere in theaters in United States on June 23, 2017.
