The buy-in makes Trump the 100 percent owner of Miss Universe, ending also all lawsuits with mnsbc's parent company, NBC reports.

The lawsuit is an offshoot of a June statement by NBC that it respects the dignity of all people as the cornerstone of the media organization's values. The derogatory statement of Trump on immigrants led NBCUniversal to cut its business relationship with the billionaire.

In response to the NBCUniversal move, Trump called NBC weak and foolish for not understanding the serious problem in the U.S. caused by illegal immigration. He then said the cutting of business ties violates their contract over the broadcast of Miss Universe and Miss USA.

Trump tweeted on Friday that he bought the remaining 50 percent share of NBC of Miss Universe which the former business partner confirmed.

Besides NBC, Spanish language network Univision, which had a deal with Trump to broadcast Miss Universe, also backed out of the deal. Univision said it is first-hand witness to Mexican's work ethics, love for family, strong religious values and the vital role of Mexican immigrants, but because of Trump's stand, the network refused to air also Miss USA pageant and other projects linked to the real estate billionaire.

On Friday, Trump guested on NBC's "Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" where the host asked him if had ever apologized ever in his life. Trump initially protested, saying that question was not on the teleprompter, but he later said that while he took the heat over his statement on Mexican immigrants, he claims people are thanking him for making that stand, reports CBS.
