A recently published study lists some of the greatest regrets by people in the United Kingdom. The researchers have compiled the top 50 things British people regretted the most and the top two spot were all money related.

The first on the top 50 list of regrets is the failure to save enough money. Followed by being prudent, modest and practical when it comes to spending money. The third on the list goes to failure in exerting more effort in keeping the body fit and healthy.

The researchers commission 1,500 adults from all age group. The head of the research group Andrew Robertson said, "Many of us have things that we might do differently in our lives, whether it's travelling and exploring more, making an effort to keep fit, or being more careful with money. The findings go to show how important it is to make the most of our time and live life to the full."

The study shows that 35 percent of the respondents regret not saving money while 31 percent said they wished they could have put more effort in getting fit.

The study also list a shocking amount of the respondents regrets not having enough one-night stands and its ranks 43rd in the list. Not giving enough to charity ranks 44th in the list.

According to The Mirror, one in five of the 1,500 respondents said that they wish they have left an unhappy relationship. On the other hand, 15 percent of the respondents said that they married the right person.
