The filmmaker also shared Rob Cowan's photo on his official Facebook account. The photo shows an actual priest blessing the set on its first day of shooting. In his previous interview with Empire, Wan said that he believed in supernatural stories that he was very terrified of them.

"The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist" will serve as a sequel to Wan's "The Conjuring." It centers on the case of two young teenage girls who were involved in supernatural disturbances, as per Screen Rant.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmgia will reprise their roles as Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, respectively. Along with them, the film stars Frances O'Connor, Shannon Kook, Adrien Ryans, and Jenniefer Collins. With Wan directing the film, Carey Hayes, Chad Hayes, and David Johnson are on board to pen the script.

As the film is still in its early phase of development, exact details on the plot, characters, and cast are yet to be revealed.

Directed by Wan, "The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on June 10, 2016.
