While the Dalai Lama confirmed that

same-sex relationships, masturbation and oral sex are misconduct in Buddhism, Tibet’s spiritual leader has something positive to say about gay relationships.

In an interview with Clive Myrie of BBC on Sept. 21, Monday,

the Dalai Lama said that

same-sex relationships, masturbation and oral sex can be “enjoyable and harmless” for society.

The interview with Myrie was conducted during t

he Dalai Lama’s nine-day visit in London. Among the things he talked about is the promotion of compassion.

The Dalai Lama has advised European Union countries not to refuse refugees fleeing the Middle East just because they are Muslims. For him, being more considerate can make all people happier.

Also, the interview with Myrie became controversial when the Dalai Lama said that a female Dalai Lama should be very attractive.

In other news, a

federal judge denied Kim Davis a stay of his order on Sept. 23, Wednesday, requiring her office to issue marriage licenses to all eligible couples who want one, Raw Story reported. This is the most recent setback for Davis, who went to jail instead of issuing licenses to gay couples.

According to a lawyer for Davis, a good-faith effort has been made by the Kentucky county clerk to comply with by United States District Judge David Bunning’s orders and she has not given her staff the authority to grant licenses so they are not valid.

Since the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June that legalized gay marriage across the U.S., Davis has refused to issue any marriage licenses making Kentucky the most recent breaking point in the U.S. debate over same-sex marriage.
