"The Xi Jinping Era," the latest book to present the Chinese president's vision, offers readers a rare opportunity to know more about the leader's personal life.
Published in late August in the United States, the book has both Chinese and English editions.
"The Xi Jinping Era" details personal stories about the Chinese president, which include Xi's childhood anecdotes.
The book is also composed of excerpts from an essay on recollections by his late father, Xi Zhongxun, who served as the country's vice premier. The essay was first published in 2013 in People's Daily.
The latest book about the Chinese president will also give a glimpse into the life his family led, showing how handed-down garments and shoes became part of the president's and his six siblings' growing-up.
The book also tells how Xi Jinping's family's way of living has made an impact to the policies he has put forward since he took over the Chinese leadership in 2013.
"The Xi Jinping Era" is composed of nine chapters highlighting the president's personal stories. The book also tackles his reforms in the Communist Party of China, his blueprint of the Chinese Dream, the "One Belt, One Road" initiative and the Chinese-U.S. ties.
Zhu Daping, the book's publisher, told China Daily that "[The Xi Jinping Era] book provides a great amount of facts and data on contemporary China."
Zhu, who is a former civil servant, is the founder and chairman of Beijing Media Time Books.
James Hsiung, a politics professor at the New York University, served as the book's chief editor.
