Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is expected to be released in October. According to latest reports, the upoming tablet will have a GPU with two times the performance of its predecessor, Surface Pro 3. In addition, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will come in two screen sizes.
Microsoft's upcoming tablet may offer two different screen sizes and spec allotments, according to PC-Tablet. Previous reports suggested that the new tablet will be nearly the same form factor as its predecessor. However, a 14-inch display option is still viable.
According to reports, the 12-inch display variant may support QHD resolution and the 14-inch display variant may support a slightly higher resolution. By reducing bezel size, the tech company may squeeze a bigger display into a 12-inch Surface Pro 4 body without increasing the form factor.
In that way, the company could sell 14-inch and 12-inch versions of the Surface Pro 4 that support the same Surface Pro 3 accessories and are the exact same size.
Rumors are also doing the rounds that the devices could be loaded with 16 GB and 8 GB of RAM. In addition, the Surface Pro 4 will have many Windows 10 features such as the 3D facial recognition camera.
On the graphics front, the tech giant Microsoft is unlikely to ship the tablet with dedicated graphics unit. Instead, the integrated chip Intel 530 HD, one of the best Skylake graphics units, may power the graphics processing. In a recent benchmark study, HD 530 was found to be two times better than graphics units used in Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
The study was carried out leveraging personal computer games such as 'Civilization: Beyond Earth' and 'World Of Warcraft' as stress tests.
