It would be nice to see the late Paul Walker and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star Zhang Ziyi reunited in "Furious 8," which is set to hit theaters on April 14, 2017 in the United States.

On June 4, 2005, Walker and Zhang presented the Best Kiss Award at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards, which was hosted by Jimmy Fallon and was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The award was given to Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams for "The Notebook."

Walker starred in just one film in 2005, which is John Stockwell's action crime "Into the Blue," opposite Scott Caan and Jessica Alba. At the time, the late actor had played the role of Brian O'Conner only in two full-length films, which were the 2001 film "The Fast and the Furious" and the 2003 film "2 Fast 2 Furious."

In 2005, Zhang starred in two films. She played the princess of raccoon dog disguised to human named Tanukihime in the Japanese fantasy musical "Princess Raccoon." She also starred in the Oscar-winning film "Memoirs of Geisha" opposite "Godzilla" star Ken Watanabe and her "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" co-star Michelle Yeoh.

Yeoh is set to reprise her role as Yu Shu Lien in the sequel "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend" unlike Chow Yun-Fat and Zhang, who will not return to the sequel set to be released in 2016.

Zhang has yet to have a film to be released in 2017 and "Furious 8" will be an excellent film to start her list. It would be interesting to see her reunite with Walker even without being together in a single scene together.

It is but proper to still feature Walker in "Furious 8" in some flashback scenes. The "Furious 8" writer should consider introducing a new character to be played by Zhang. This could be an Asian character that has something to do with Brian O'Conner's past and is related to Han (Sung Kang).
