The "Transformers" film franchise is set to have four more sequels.

Hashbro's Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officier Stephen J. Davis explained at the MIP Junior Conference (via TFW 2005) that fans were set to see "Transformers 6," "Transformers 7," "Transformers 8," on their way, along with the upcoming "Transformers 5."

Davis also mentioned that he and the team had decided to plot out the future of the "Transformers" franchise in the next ten years. He added that they had got a three-month time period to plot the franchise's future. With the help of "I Am Legend" and "A Beautiful Mind" writer Akiva Goldsman, Davis and the team has set what will transpire with the franchise in both the big screen and small screen in the next ten years.

According to Cinema Blend, the franchise would like to stick to the current trend involving the rise of superhero films and novel adaptation franchises, which leads to a number of sequels. In April, the "Transformers" franchise was reported to establish multi-part films that would act as sequels to its existing movies.

Fans have last seen Michael Bay's "Transformers: Age of Extinction," which was released in the big screen on June 27, 2014. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor, among others, the film has grossed an estimated $1.1 billion in a global scale.

At this point, fans are set to see "Transformers 5" in the big screen. However, exact details on the plot, characters, and cast are yet to be revealed, since the project is in its early phase of development.
