The Marvel Head also said that he and the Marvel crew did not think that bringing Spider-Man back to Marvel's Cinematic Universe would work out; however, he said that it had been pleasing for them when it actually did.

According to Slash Film, Marvel had plans to bring Spider-Man to Marvel's Cinematic Universe prior to the official announcement of Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's "Captain America: Civil War." The news shocked the entire Hollywood, as per the publication.

For Feige, the people in the studio believe that the interconnectedness of the films in Marvel's Cinematic Universe would be highly felt if each movie is intact.

Meanwhile, "The Impossible" actor Tom Holland is set to play the iconic web-slinger in Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot. But before that, he will debut the character in Marvel's Cinematic Universe in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War," which centers on the release of the Accords. It is released by the government to limit superheroes from using their powers.

While fans are set to see Captain America clash with Iron Man in "Captain America: Civil War," Spider-Man's role and side in the film is still unknown at this point and is yet to be revealed.

The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere in the United States on May 6, 2016 while Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
