In a bid to draw the least amount of attention, Isabella Kidman Cruise, daughter of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, recently wed her British boyfriend Max Parker in a low key ceremony in London while her brother and parents kept away.

According to the Telegraph Kidman was in London at the time, rehearsing for a West End play titled "Photograph 51."

For fear of the intimate ceremony turning into a "media circus" the young bride had effectively "banned" her high profile parents from attending, the Daily Mail reported. The ceremony which took place at the Dorchester Hotel last month, is reported to have been a mix of a Scientology ceremony with a few elements of a typical Christian wedding.

A hair and make-up artist at Vidal Sassoon in London, Isabella is reported to have been introduced to IT consultant Parker through mutual friends  a year ago. Parker who lives near the United Kingdom's Scientology headquarters in Sussex, had Fabiano Calcioli, a renowned Scientologist as one of his groomsmen.

The young bride's father is said to have paid for the function, while Isabella's brother Connor had also been kept away to maintain the secrecy behind the event.

According to the British publication, the bride's family have been supportive of the marriage, with Kidman reportedly having met her future son-inlaw and daughter at a private dinner prior to the day of the wedding.

Aside from a close group of friends of the couple, the ceremony is reported to have been unconventional, with the bride dressed in tights and lace and the bridesmaids dressed in pink jumpsuits.

A source quoted by the publication said Kidman had been involved in the planning of the ceremony, while it felt that the tension between the parents would have been another factor that contributed to a low key wedding idea by the bride.

Star of "The Hours" Kidman, adopted Isabella in 1992, together with her former husband "Mission Impossible" actor Cruise, soon after the couple married.  In 1995, they adopted their son Connor. The Hollywood couple divorced in 2001 and since then both children have lived with Cruise.
