"Evolve" is possibly set to make a comeback when 2K Games re-releases it in a new "Ultimate Edition" form.

This piece of news, although unconfirmed by 2K, comes to the delight of the huge 4v1 monster-hunting game enthusiasts, and was uncovered by Wario64, GameSpot reported.

PS4 and Xbox One Amazon product pages featuring "Evolve Ultimate Edition" were spotted by the internet sleuth and tweeted out.

The posting stated that all of the original DLC will be included in the bundle, which will be priced at $60.

Initially launched on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, "Evolve Ultimate Edition" should also be available on those platforms; however, there are currently only listings for PS4 and Xbox One, according to Dual Shockers.

As if this was not enough good news for gamer lovers of the relatively new but massively popular co-op shooter, there are whispers of a sequel in development.

There is further speculation that this sequel might be single-player.

Some of these whispers were fuelled when the highly popular game, which was released this February, was called a "permanent" franchise by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive.

His statement, made at the 43rd Annual Technology, Media and Telecom Conference, went on to say that multiplayer-focus may need to be addressed, "I think we come out of that experience reminding ourselves we have to have a strong single-player opportunity."

Both these developments have yet to be officially announced, and gamers will have to keep their ears and eyes open for confirmation.
