Is it sarcasm or genuine admiration? That would be the question on the minds of observers of the word war between UFC Bantanweight champion Ronda Rousey if she meets newly retired American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Rousey, set to fight Holly Holms in Melbourne, Australia, on Nov. 14, says that since Mayweather pretends he does not know her, Ronda would not go out of the way to find Justin Bieber's BFF and bromance vacation buddy.

However, if she runs into him, "I'd probably introduce myself every single time that I saw him. I'd be like, 'Hi I'm Ronda.' 'Yes, I'm Ronda."

The MMA fighter says she would shake "Money May's" hand because he is an amazing boxer. While shaking his hands, Rousey says she will keep on introducing herself many times because "he apparently has a lot of trouble remembering who I am," Boxingscene quotes Ronda.

The word war started when Ronda said she would win over Mayweather if they were to fight in a match with no rules. When Floyd was asked for a reaction, he said he does not know who Rousey is.

However, chances of the two bumping into each other these days is nil because Mayweather is in the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora on a vacation with Bieber, while Rousey just broke another record being the first female athlete to host "SportsCenter."

According to Sportingnews, Ronda is the guest anchor of the show for its Wednesday episode. The show airs at 6 p.m. The regular host is Czarniak Lindsay. It was the second glass ceiling that Ronda broke this week. The first was when she became the first woman athlete cover of Men's Fitness Australia magazine.

On Tuesday, she also guested at Jimmy Fallon's "The Tonight Show."
