New details for "The Flash" season 2 will have Ronnie Raymond's possible return and a new promo trailer featuring Zoom's first appearance in the show.

The season premiere of "The Flash" season 2 revealed the unexpected "death" of Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) after the latter and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) as their heroic alter-egos Firestorm helped Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) stopped the singularity from destroying Central City. Ronnie sacrificed his life to save the city with both Barry and Prof. Stein surviving the incurssion. The event led to Caitlin Snow leaving S.T.A.R. Labs and Barry disbanding the team thinking that he has to do things alone and does not want anyone to get hurt or killed anymore.

However, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly that Ronnie died at that moment, but it does not mean they have seen the last of him on the show. It looks as though Kreisberg and his co-producer Greg Berlanti are planning something huge involving Ronnie's return from the dead in season 2.

The showrunner hinted that Ronnie could be shown in flashback scenes within the show or appear in "Legends Of Tomorrow" since the spin-off will deal with time travel. Kreisberg added that part of the reason they have to "kill off" Ronnie in the show is due to Amell's movie career rising up and they felt they should let him grow as an actor in both professional and in person.

YouTube channel Emergency Awesome also conducted a theory regarding Ronnie's demise in the season 2 premiere and they theorized that Ronnie could have been transported from the other side of the singularity, as Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) told team Flash that the singularity in Central City is also a portal linking their world to various alternate worlds during the show's promo.

In other news, a new Canadian promo for episode 2 of "The Flash" season 2 features a close-up look at the show's new antagonist, Zoom (Tony Todd), Comicbook reported.

As seen in the video, Zoom's appearance is blue as his suit is radiating blue lightning and his appearance is transparent as he vibrates his whole body to hide his face similar to the Reverse-Flash.

Zoom's identity has been the subject of many speculations and theories as he could be an alternate version of the one of the characters from Earth 1 such as a future Barry Allen or an evil Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). Zoom could also be the show's version of Edward Clariss/ The Rival since he from came from Earth 2.

The Flash airs on Tuesdays at 8pm ET on The CW Network.
