Jim Carey took to Twitter to pay tribute to his late former girlfriend Cathriona White, who was found dead on Sept. 28 in an apparent suicide in Los Angeles.
"Love cannot be lost," the "Dum and Dumber To" actor tweeted alongside a rose emoji and a photo of himself and White staring at each other. Prior to this, he flew into Ireland on board a Gulfstream V private jet to attend his former girlfriend's funeral with his daughter Jane Carey.
On Oct. 10, Saturday, the actor and his daughter arrived in a blacked-out Mercedes people carrier in Cappawhite, Co Tipperary in Ireland, 9news reported.
Jim was one of those who carried White's coffin through the town. He was seen embracing White's family members at the graveside as the coffin was lowered, Carrey hugged members of her family.
Wearing a sombre black suit and dark jacket paired with a pair of dark, gold-rimmed sunglasses, Jim spoke briefly to some locals in the small Irish village as he entered Our Lady of Fatima church.
"We gather around Cathriona's body in our parish church - all too soon, too early," Daily Mail quoted Parish priest Fr. Tadgh Furlong as saying before mourners. "In 1985, Cathriona was baptised with joy into this Christian community."
The priest added, "We assemble now in a very different atmosphere to welcome her home. We gather in silent, sad, grief-stricken fáilte. At this time we welcome home one of our own."
After "Dumb and Dumber To," Jim has no films to be released this year but he is set to star in 2016 films "True Crimes," which will be directed by Alexandros Avranas, and "The Bad Batch" opposite Jason Momoa and Keanu Reeves.
