Supercell is rumoured to be introducing special update for its enormously popular Clash of Clans (COC) this holiday season. According to a latest report, this limited edition upgrade for the mobile strategy game for iOS and Android users will be provided just in time for Halloween.

According to The Bitbag, the upcoming update for Clash of Clans (COS) will enable the players to play in nighttime mode. This rumoured upgrade is expected to change the entire look of the game that is originally set up in a daytime mode.

The website notes that YouTube user Master Saint suggests that Clash of Clans Special Halloween update will see a drastic change in the "visuals aesthetics" of the gameplay. The exciting new upgrade is expected to come out late in October like last year.

When darkness falls, fans can expect to enjoy sparkling gems and lit up torches used to illuminate the village, and wizard towers turned purple. The nighttime mode will bring a whole new feel to the "Clash of Clans" (COC) gameplay.

The website states that the special Halloween update may also mean increased difficulty. Reduced visibility during the nighttime mode may make attacking on other villages even more challenging.

Supercell is yet to make an official announcement about the rumoured update for "Clash of Clans" (COC). But the question is will fans really appreciate the change?

It is said that the developers might make the nighttime mode optional for the Clashers with toggle button to switch between daytime and nighttime mode. While the reports lack confirmation, it is suggested that the other way to launch the update is using the local time zone of the player for adjusting the settings.

Meanwhile, more updates can be expected to be unveiled during Supercell's ClashCon. The highly anticipated "Clash of Clans" event will be held on Oct. 24, 2015. Even though developers are yet to confirm if there will be any new update for the game, but rumours claim some major upgrades. As previously reported by Yibada.com, the rumoured ClashCon updates include Town Hall 11, Single Player maps, new Barbarians at Level 8, Clan War Tournaments, upgrade for Dark Troops and an introduction of a new hero.
