Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features a design that had undergone an iterative tweaking, instead of a complete transformation, Tech Radar reported. The multi-national tech company has reduced the display to a 12.3-inch to house more screen, thus creating more space for Office and other apps, while retaining the same physical outline of its predecessor the Surface Pro 3.

The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features a screen with 2,736 x 1,824 pixel-resolution, delivering a PPI of 267. The devices' aspect ratio is still 3:2, which gives a bit of additional vertical space.

This high-end Surface Pro 4 is also equipped with a 6th generation Core i7 Intel processor. Furthermore, it is also 30 percent more efficient than the Surface Pro 3, and 50 percent faster than its Apple counterpart, the MacBook Air, International Business Times reported.

What's more is that the device has a new and redesigned Surface Pen that has a magnetic storage and an eraser. It also boasts an all-year battery life. Several major updates of the Microsoft Surface devices are backward-compatible with its predecessor. Therefore, Pro 3 users can also utilize the latest updates such as the new keyboard cover.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 can now be pre-ordered and has a price tag of $899. The hybrid device will hit the stores on Oct. 26.
