Google's Chrome Internet is the most recent upgrade of its browser, which resulted in several important modifications. But more than the additional features that came with the update, what was highly noticeable was how the new Chrome had dropped a few features.

Chrome Internet's major change was the absence of its notification center. This feature was added by the tech giant into its internet browser about two years ago. Another big alteration was the removal of the famous OK Google voice prompt, which also works on Android, Chromium reported. This feature allows users to execute voice searches in the browser.

Although it is believed that the removal of the features mentioned above is because people do not often use them, reports say that there might be further explanation for it, Venture Beat reported.

While it does seem sensible that these features are not as efficient on the desktop as elsewhere, people tend to use voice prompt more on their mobile devices. Losing them can be frustrating for users who have relied on voice prompt and notification center regularly on their computers.

Chrome voice searches did not completely vanish, though. Users can still do voice searches, but instead of utilizing the OK Google voice prompt, they will have to manually hit the small microphone icon. As for computers that are equipped with ChromeOS, the voice trigger is still available.

Chrome update points out the possibility of Microsoft missing the mark in incorporating them in the new Windows 10.
