There's more to enjoy with "The Witcher 3" than the recently released Hearts of Stone DLC. Developer CD Projekt Red has also announced a new patch coming to the modkit for "The Witcher 3."

The complete changelog for the modkit has also been released, and most of these involve bug fixes for the feature, GameSpot reported. Among the issues that will be resolved in the new update include wrong importing of maps, wcc_lite failure and bugs in the Script Studio.

CD Projekt Red also added the ability to mod textures via the textures array and a warning info for any wcc-lite failures. Also, new textures can now be added to the game using mods.

While the modkit update has been confirmed, the developer has yet to specify a release date. Marcin Momot, the community manager for CD Projekt Red, did say that the release is just around the corner.

In the meantime, developer CD Projekt Red gave a behind-the-scenes look at how the team had created the women in the world of "The Witcher 3." According to the developer, the treatment involved getting some personalities and aspects of the women from the original Witcher series from author Andrzej Sapkowski, but also going beyond the text, Game Informer reported.

What the team did was to give them a distinct aspect, all of which have some connecting thread to their relationships amongst themselves and to hero Geralt. This approach not only centralized the plot, but also allowed it to go beyond just killing monsters, which is very common in role-playing games.

"The Witcher 3" has a strong suite in terms of characters, an aspect that CD Projekt Red also tried to strengthen when creating the people. Senior Writer Jakub Szamalek added that, in the creation process for the female characters, their approach was to treat them as people and flesh them out with flaws and all.

"Our only consideration was to give each of them as much time in the quests as possible to show who they are and why they are so interesting and important for Geralt," said "The Witcher 3" writer Karolina Stachyra.

"The Witcher 3" is expecting another DLC in the form of Blood and Wine. CD Projekt Red still has to reveal the details and release date for the expansion.
