Scoot McNairy's potential role in Zack Snyder's forthcoming DC Comics film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has been revealed.

The role of the "12 Years a Slave" actor in Snyder's film has not yet been defined to date. However, in his interview with Cinema Blend to promote David Gordon Green's upcoming comedy drama film "Our Brand Is Crisis," McNairy revealed that his character was one that lends to the story being told. The actor added that he had not signed a multi-picture agreement.

According to Cinema Blend, McNairy could play a pivotal role linking to the lives of the major icons in Snyder's film, such as Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne. The publication also mentioned that the actor's character could be related to the main characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. It is also probable that he is connected to Lex Luthor.

Since McNairy also mentioned that he had not signed a contract with the film studio, it is also possible that he would play a character who would not end up alive in Snyder's forthcoming film. Another probability is having a minor appearance or a cameo in the film, just like Snyder himself. In his interview with 411 Mania, Snyder said that he would appear in his film.

Overall, McNairy's role could be from various angles of the film storyline.

Aside from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Our Brand Is Crisis," McNairy is also set to be part of David Michod's comedy film "War Machine" and Baron bo Odar's action thriller film "Sleepless Night."

Meanwhile, Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" serves as the path to the rise of the superhero team Justice League. The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.

Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to be aired in two separate teasers on Oct. 26 while the film is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Mar. 25, 2016. Meanwhile, Green's "Our Brand Is Crisis" hit theaters on Oct. 30.
