Swedish artist Nina Linde presented this week to the National Library of Sweden a copy of "Occasionally Blind," a sensual book for the blind using braille. The 33-year-old artist says the book gives the vision-impaired an opportunity to "ogle" at porn.

The New York Post reports that the book has a variety of x-rated images, including scenes for heterosexuals, gays and orgies. So the blind could experience the image, illustrations - such as a woman with a strap-on dildo - are raised and come with explanations in braille of the hot scenes.

Her inspiration to make the book came after she visited the Braille Library in Stockholm, and to her dismay, found "no dirty stuff at all for the visually impaired."  Linde explains, "Everyone needs some sexual stimulation."

The Independent reports that an experience in Chile when she was a student was also part of the inspiration behind the book. Linde helped a blind man cross the street. When he learned that she is from Sweden, he commented on the liberal approach to sex of Nordics.

She actually published the book in 2010 but gave a copy of the book to the National Library of Sweden on Tuesday. Hakkan Thomson, president of the National Federation of the Visually Impaired in Sweden, is grateful for the book donation to the library.

"I think that some imagine that we have no sexuality, which is not true," Thomson states. He adds, "Visually impaired people are just as sexual as any other."
