"America's Next Top Model" cycle 22 contestant Nyle DiMarco recently said that he believes being deaf is a blessing and not a curse.

In an interview with MTV News, DiMarco said that he never felt that being deaf was a disadvantage for him to excel in the competition. In fact, he said that he feels it has helped him reach out to his fans.

"I do not think I was ever at a disadvantage in the competition. Basically, photoshoots do not require spoken language to communicate, let alone to take great photos. It's all about body language between the photographer and the model. I believe Yu Tsai and I have proven that," he said.

Throughout the past couple of weeks of competition, DiMarco has become one of the most consistent contestants on the hit The CW reality TV competition.

Week in and week out, he would always get good scores or even win in some challenges.

His success on "America's Next Top Model" has led fans to believe that he will become this season's winner.

Meanwhile, the "Switched at Birth" season 4 recurring guest star also weighed in on Tyra Banks' recent confirmation that "ANTM" will no longer return for Cycle 23.

According to the hunky supermodel, he felt that it was also time for the reality TV show to end.

"There were rumors here and there and I had a feeling that they would either announce that they would pick it up for another cycle or cancel it for good. It was inevitable, it had to end," he said.

"America's Next Top Model" cycle 22 airs Fridays on The CW.
