Apple has recently released two different models to their iPad stack. Both iPad mini 4 and iPad Air 2 turns out to be the best choice of iPad, so it is really important to compare the features between the two before making a final decision on which should you buy.
iPad Mini 4 is priced at $599 for 128GB version while the lesser storage version is available at reduced prices. You might need to spend an additional $130 for the cellular connection which might increase the total value to around $800. On the other hand, iPad Air 2 is priced at $600 for the 128GB version.
According to iDigital Times, Both iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 are available in various colors such as silver, grey and gold plus also shares similar features. Both the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 feature similar design and tech version, along with 8MP rear and 1.2MP front camera.
In spite of the above similarities, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 hold certain differences too. The iPad mini 4 makes use of 64 bit A8 processor chip while iPad Air 2 employs A8X processor, which according to AnandTech, the X chips are focused towards providing tablets with extra power and reduce heat and increase battery capacity.
Biggest difference between the two is the display screen. Both iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 are equipped with retina display; however, iPad Mini 4 display is at 7.9 inches diagonally while iPad Air 2 is at 7.9 inches across diagonally. Both share same screen resolution, but the screen is much more detailed in iPad Mini 4.
